I am a Kathie Jones, the photographer behind the cameras at Art Beat. I have had a love affair with photographic images since I had my first camera at 4 years old. Mom figured she was best served by giving me my own Kodak 110 Instamatic when she developed two rolls of film and found I had taken pictures of her legs, the ironing board, my stuffed Eeyore…anything at a 4 year old’s eye level. Today I have graduated from my trusty Kodak 110 (which I still have, by the way!) to Canon and Nikon professional cameras, but I still love to share what my eye sees with others. Whether photographing an engaged couple or a wedding, children or pets, a bar mitzvah or a newborn, the same excitement still holds for me as when I posed fellow kindergardners and used that little-film-cartridge-holding 110 camera to create images of monkey bar swingers and tree climbers. Morgan’s Senior Sneak Peak

Fells Point is one of the most interesting neighborhoods in Baltimore.  Located right on the water with its cobblestone streets, interesting painted doors, funky shops, little alleys and boardwalk at the water, its a great place for senior pictures. I had a blast with Morgan and her mom Diane tonight!
